Breakfast Club
Coleridge Primary School Breakfast Club
We offer a safe, caring & friendly environment for children before school.
Early Adopter Programme
Coleridge Primary School is thrilled to be selected as an Early Adopter school for the Department for Education’s (DfE) Breakfast Club pilot. As part of the government’s Plan for Change, the school will be among the first 750 in England to offer free, daily breakfast clubs from April 2025. This initiative aims to support working families by saving them up to £450 per year while ensuring children start the day ready to learn. The programme will also provide at least 30 minutes of free childcare every morning, helping parents balance work and family life.
Coleridge Primary is proud to help shape this landmark policy and looks forward to seeing the positive impact on its pupils and the wider community.
A Warm Welcome
Each morning, staff will be available to assist with serving breakfast, as well as organising games and activities. Children in Foundation 2 through to Year 6 are welcome to arrive at school from 8:00 AM to enjoy a healthy breakfast. Children may attend independently or with their parents. While we take pride in being a community-oriented school and warmly welcome parents to join our provision, we are equally happy for children to attend without their parents.
A Healthy Start
Children who eat breakfast concentrate and perform better during the
morning than children who skip breakfast.
Our Menu
The children will be able to select from a variety of cereals, bagels, and
toast. Breakfast is only available to the children, not parents.
NO hot drinks will be available. Please do not bring your own drinks onto
the premises.
