Celebrating Good Attendance

Monday afternoon assembly is used as a means of promoting good
attendance.

• Any class reaching 100% weekly attendance will receive a class reward of £5.00 that can be saved up to have a reward at the end of the year.
• Classes with no late marks will gain an additional 10 minutes extra playtime which will be selected at the class teacher’s discretion.
• Any child with a 100% attendance for the week will be entered into a draw to win an individual prize from the treasure chest.
• At the end of every half term, each child achieving 100% attendance will be rewarded with a prize from the treasure chest. They can also wear non-uniform on this day.
• At the end of every term, each child achieving 100% attendance will be rewarded with a treat to celebrate their achievement. This could be a movie with pizza and popcorn, special sporting event, or any other relevant treat. They can also wear non-uniform on this day.
• At the end of the school year, the class who receive the most stars for the highest attendance of the week will be rewarded with a treat to celebrate. This could be a trip to Clifton Park, disco, or any other relevant treat. They can also wear non-uniform on this day.
• Any child with 100% attendance at the end of the school year will be rewarded with a trip to the Big Apple.
• Attendance displays are clearly visible on the attendance display and a list of school holidays is sent home at the start of every year. The local authority requires the school to monitor attendance and have regular contact with the Early Help & Family Engagement Service to enable the school to keep on track for their end of year attendance target.
