Crisis and Resilience Fund

Support Available for Families Through Rotherham’s Crisis and Resilience Fund

We know that many families continue to face financial pressures, particularly with the rising cost of living. Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council offers a Crisis and Resilience Fund to provide practical support for low-income households experiencing financial hardship. [rotherham.gov.uk]

The fund is designed to help families and individuals who experience an unexpected financial crisis, such as a health emergency, a broken essential household appliance, or difficulties paying fuel bills. Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis, and successful applicants may also be signposted to additional sources of support and advice. [rotherham.gov.uk]

Support for Families with Children

Families with children who are eligible for Free School Meals may also benefit from additional support. Rotherham Council has confirmed that eligible families will receive a one-off £95 payment, distributed through their children’s schools. There is no need to apply for this payment if your child attends a mainstream Rotherham school and qualifies for Free School Meals. [rotherham.gov.uk]
